vneckandacardigan:

I watched this movie last night and can’t recommend it enough. The soundtrack is brilliant, and the narrative reminds me a bit of Jonathan Safran Foer’s style — different parts of the same story interwoven with short bits interspersed emphasizing love, sadness, and joy.
Do yourself and favor and watch Beginners this weekend. I also want all of Melanie Laurent’s clothes from the film. So if you can make that happen I’d be incredibly appreciative.

Sometimes I feel like college is America’s biggest scam.

thingsworthhavingnevercomeeasily:

Pay money that you don’t have to graduate from college to go into a world with no jobs. But everything is fine because you have a piece of paper saying you’re a college graduate while you’re busy working at Starbucks trying to make ends meet.

Welcome to America.

This is love, she thought, isn’t it? When you notice someone’s absence and hate that absence more than anything? More, even, than you love his presence? Jonathan Safran Foer, Everything Is Illuminated (via dontwanttobeanorexic)

It takes so little, so infinitely little, for someone to find himself on the other side of the border, where everything—love, convictions, faith, history—no longer has meaning.
